These mystery bags each contain 4 x 100gram skeins of Yama Merino Linen Worsted in harmonious colourways from the latest collection and/or before. Great stash enhancements for colourwork, stripe and marling projects!
Yama Merino Linen Worsted is the even cosier version of my Merino Linen Singles. The soft ply and linen fibres give this yarn a rustic, almost handspun character. Next to skin soft and suitable for projects such as sweaters, shawls and hats. Great stitch definition for stranded colourwork projects. TIP! Hold Yama Merino Linen Singles double for creating a marled or fading colourwork yoke, with one strand of Worsted for the main body of a sweater!
Dye batches vary, please make sure to purchase enough yarn to complete your project. There are also variation within batches, please remember to alternate skeins when working on larger pieces of fabric. Variegated skeins take more effort to produce ~ those are charged for a little extra. The skeins you receive may not be the identical skeins form the photograph.
Care Instructions:
Garments can be machine washed on a gentle cycle however I recommend hand washing in cool water. Soak in a wool wash and rinse in clean water with a drop of essential oil. Roll in a towel to get the water out and dry flat. Also see “Care Instructions” under Info in the main menu.
Note that very dark saturated colourways such as Ursus can give off some residual dye on the hands while knitting, this is called “crocking”, read about this on the “Care Instructions” page under Info in the main menu.
Yama Merino Chunky is super squishy and plump, this batch was dyed in layers of Autumn colours..with that perfect hat in mind. Approx. gauge is 14sts x 20rows = 10x10cm on 5.5mm knitting needles. I knitted a super cosy Cocoon Hat (free pattern by La Maison Rililie) in size S using 122grams (see my Ravelry project page).
Each batch and colourway of Yama Merino Chunky is unique and cannot be repeated the same, please make sure to purchase enough yarn to complete your project and remember to alternate skeins when knitting larger pieces.
