Yama Merino Linen Worsted ~ 3 skein sets *Sold Out*

A set includes 3 x 100gram skeins of Yama Merino Linen Worsted in different colourways from the August 2022 collection. Great addition to your Yama stash to use in colourwork, stripe projects or hems and cuffs!

I knitted the Easy V sweater by Boylandknitworks in colourway Smoke for the body, Raven for the neckline and cuffs, and Sea Urchin along with my handspun in the colourwork. For something along the same lines (but not identical!), try Cosmic Grape for the neck and cuffs, Smoke or Ghost Grey for the body with Sea Urchin, Stone and Burnt Terra Cotta or Rose Taupe for the colourwork. Please check the yarn requirements for the size you want to knit and make sure to purchase enough of each colour (see the Merino Linen Worsted listing for individual skeins).

Yama Merino Linen Worsted is the even cosier version of my Merino Linen Singles. The soft ply and linen fibres give this yarn a rustic, almost handspun character. Next to skin soft and suitable for projects such as sweaters, shawls and hats. Great stitch definition for stranded colourwork projects. TIP! Hold Yama Merino Linen Singles double for creating a marled or fading colourwork yoke, with one strand of Worsted for the main body of a sweater!

Dye batches vary, please make sure to purchase enough yarn to complete your project. There are also variation within batches, please remember to alternate skeins when working on larger pieces of fabric. Variegated skeins take more effort to produce ~ those are charged for a little extra. The skeins you receive may not be the identical skeins form the photograph.

Care Instructions: Garments can be machine washed on a gentle cycle however I recommend hand washing in cool water. Soak in a wool wash and rinse in clean water with a drop of essential oil. Roll in a towel to get the water out and dry flat. Also see “Care Instructions” under Info in the main menu.

Note that saturated colourways can give off some residual dye on the hands while knitting, this is called “crocking”, read about it on the “Care Instructions” page under Info in the main menu.
